Moroccan Cooking Class in Marrakech
Learn how to prepare traditional Moroccan dishes with a local chef in Marrakech. A hands-on 3-hour class covering tagine, salads and mint tea.
€45
A private Moroccan cooking class for couples, families and small groups, with a menu tailored to your taste and pace.
Some travelers want to learn to cook alongside other guests; others would rather have the kitchen — and the chef’s full attention — to themselves. This private Moroccan cooking class is built for the second group: couples celebrating an anniversary, families traveling with children, or small groups who’d simply prefer a class shaped entirely around them.
Because it’s private, the format is flexible in ways a shared class can’t be. You can request a slower pace for kids, a menu built entirely around a specific dietary need, or timing that fits around the rest of your day in Marrakech. Your chef will talk through the menu with you in advance, so the class you arrive to is already tailored rather than fixed.
The cooking itself follows the same hands-on approach as our other classes — you’re chopping, seasoning and cooking, not watching a demonstration — but without needing to coordinate around a group of strangers. For many families and couples, that privacy and flexibility is worth the difference in price.
It’s a particularly good fit for special occasions: a honeymoon dinner cooked together, a birthday menu built around a favorite dish, or simply a group who wants Marrakech’s food culture explained at their own pace.
Meeting point: A private riad kitchen in the Marrakech Medina, or your own villa/riad kitchen where feasible — confirmed at booking.
Fully flexible. Because this is a private class, your chef can build the entire menu around vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free or other requirements with no compromise for other guests.
Private venues can be selected with accessibility in mind — let us know your requirements when booking and we'll confirm a suitable kitchen in advance.
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your private class for a full refund, given the dedicated planning involved. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.
This class is exclusively for your group — no other travelers join — and the menu, pace and timing are built around your preferences rather than a fixed format.
Yes, it's one of the most popular choices for families, since the pace can slow down for kids and the menu can be adjusted to what they'll actually enjoy eating.
Within reason, yes. Your chef will discuss a menu with you in advance based on your preferences, though very specific requests may depend on seasonal ingredient availability.
In many cases, yes, if the kitchen is suitable. Otherwise your chef will host you in a private riad kitchen in the Medina. This is confirmed during booking.
